Updating netboot image

With Net Boot not being available for the i Mac Pro but still available for other models, it wasn’t yet clear if Net Boot-based workflows for setting up new Macs or rebuilding existing ones were on the way out.

I've got a case open with JAMF and I've been watching this thread: [https://com/jamf-nation/discussions/26726/netsus-cannot-connect-to-smb-share] If I get an answer, I'll be sure to share it.

Please be aware that Jamf Engineering do not develop this project.

Your best troubleshooting resources are here (obviously), Jamf Nation, or the Net SUS channel on Mac Admins Slack, but since this is developed by individuals on their own time, responses / fixes may be sporadic.

The one exception was Apple’s Internet Recovery, where Apple is providing a Net Boot-like service to provide access to mac OS Recovery.

The i Mac Pro is still able to boot to Internet Recovery, which provides a way to repair the Mac or reinstall the operating system in situations where the Mac’s own Recovery volume is missing or not working properly.

The engineers at JAMF are supposed to be getting back to me sometime today.

  1. A big fear associated with online dating is that the person on the other side of the computer screen talking to a seventeen year old girl is a forty year old man.

  2. i am pionate, compionate, respectful, loving, and am willing to be... I am more comfortable in a casual setting, and am very pionate about the things I believe in.
